Two Year GCSE (age 14-15)
Background Information
GCSEs (General Certificate in Secondary Education) are the examinations that British students take at the end of Year 11 (Form 5), when they are 16. It takes 2 years to study the GCSE course and students take between 5 and 8 subjects. Good UK schools require 5 GCSE passes at grade C or above to study A levels or IB (6th Form).
