› JIG Trip to Lyme Regis
The JIG group went on a trip to the seaside last week, to the Devon coastal town of Lyme Regis. It started out overcast and cloudy, but when we got to the beach the sun came out! We enjoyed fossil hunting on the Jurassic Coast, and a boat trip with the local fisherman. We witnessed a historic event, because the land has been slipping into the sea all week, and we got a good view of it from the boat!
After lunch on the beach we paddled in the cold sea, enjoyed the local Devon ice cream, and Carmen dug a huge hole. Blanca and Masha bought kites in the local shop, and we had fun flying them on the beach!
Then we headed for the aquarium, where we learned about the local sea life and watched the fish being fed by hand. They were very friendly! All in all, it was a great day. ‹ Back to Latest News
