After Taunton International Study Centre (TISC)

On Placement

Nearly all TISC students go on to study in a UK Independent Boarding School after they leave us. During their time at TISC we spend time with the students finding out which school they would like to go to, and helping them to achieve this. If required, we can help students with their placement into their next school.  We help students to complete applications for their next schools and prepare them for interviews and entry tests.

Some of our students choose to continue their studies at Taunton School.  TISC students get priority over external students applying to Taunton School. Students who wish to apply to Taunton School will receive their offer before the end of their first term at TISC. They are also able to meet Heads of Departments in Taunton School to discuss the subjects offered and ask any questions.

Get into the School of your Choice

Our examination results are impressive.  But the true measure of our success is in enabling students to go to the UK school of their choice.  We are very proud that there are TISC students enjoying success in many top UK boarding schools.

Schools like TISC students because they have:

  • Good GCSE grades
  • Reliable reports
  • Good study skills
  • Experience of boarding school life.

The great advantage of having GCSE qualifications is that TISC students find it easier to get into the school of their choice and are much better prepared to study A levels or the IB Diploma.
