Water treatment is a very necessary process in today's world. TISC Science students are seen here visiting a waste water treatment plant as part of their GCSE course. The waste water at this treatment plant comes from an area with a population of approximately 250,000 people. At the end of the process the water is clean enough to be released into a river. As a by-product, valuable fertiliser is also produced. We hope that, after this visit, TISC students will appreciate how much effort and cost goes into cleaning the water that modern society throws away down their drains. ‹ Back to Latest News
