› Shoe Boxes
In November, many TISC students took part in the annual Christmas charity event. We support a charity that sends Christmas presents to the world's poorest children by making up shoeboxes filled with gifts. Students who chose to be involved collected an empty shoebox and then had the fun of deciding whether to buy presents for a boy or girl and the age of the child who would receive the box.
With more students at TISC this year, the competition was on to beat 2006's total of 34 boxes. Thanks to great enthusiasm and generosity, we managed to send 47 boxes out into the world, to be delivered to children who have nothing in all corners of the globe.
