› Shalva Jalabadze plays Rugby for Taunton School

Shalva (Shako) Jalabadze was selected to play rugby for Taunton School against King's Bruton School. He first started to play when he joined Taunton School International in 2008 on the GCSE course, having no previous experience of the game. He has thrown himself into the sports programme and has particularly enjoyed learning to play rugby. He is quick and likes the contact aspect of the game. In order to compete with British students for a place in the Taunton School teams he has had to work very hard and pay close attention to the coaching as the British students have grown up playing the game and have far more experience. It is to his credit that he has made it to this level and the whole school will watch his progress carefully.
