› Wing San Shum plays at a Taunton School Tea-time Concert

Wing, an accomplished violinist delighted an audience of her peers and teachers at the Taunton School Tea-time concert on Wednesday 14th October. Her portrayal of a classic piece from Vivaldi was both powerful and sensitive. The audience was gripped for the whole performance and rightly afforded her a standing ovation. Wing is currently undertaking her GCSE course at Taunton School International. Also on the same bill was Mohammad Iyad Masrouji a student from the Summer School in 2009. He transferred from there to Taunton School in September and demonstrated his work from one of his courses. He is a Music Technology student and played the bongos to his own technical composition using an array of digital appliances. It was the first time that the Tea-time concert had been treated to a display of this type and it certainly achieved much approval from the audience.
