Facilities

During evenings and at weekends, the students can relax and enjoy the facilities at TISC and Taunton School.  At TISC we have two spacious recreational rooms with large screen TV, pool tables and sofa area. There is also an IT room and a language laboratory. TISC shares Taunton School’s campus and the students are able to use the school’s facilities which include two swimming pools, a fitness suite, tennis courts, sports fields and sports halls. Our students also use the school library for quiet study or to choose a book of their choice, and they have their Science and Art lessons in the school’s Science laboratories and Art Studios.

There are large gardens and huge playing fields behind TISC which are popular especially in the summer. In the gardens there is a basket ball net and outdoor table tennis. 

A wide range of activities are available at weekends and this can include cinema trips, shopping, sports or historical visits to local places of interest such as Bath, Stonehenge and Exeter. Each weekend a boarding house within the school organises social activities such as a disco, a football match or a DVD evening. This gives the TISC students the chance to join British students for social events and sports and we see many friendships develop during the year.
