Extra Curricular Activities

We offer a wide range of extra curricular activities. Some of these activities are offered by the staff at TISC and include:

• Swimming
• Basketball Club
• Fitness Club
• Pronunciation Club
• French and Spanish Clubs
• Mathematical Activity Club
• Radio Club - students prepare for their slots on the Taunton School radio station
• Cartoon Club
• Jewellery and Craft Clubs
• Photography Club which uses the school’s own dark room
• Chess Club
• Art Club

Students are also encouraged to participate in activities offered within Taunton School. This is a good opportunity for our students to integrate and make friends with British students. Some of the activities our students take part in are:

• Yoga
• The Burke Debating Society
• Golf
• Horse - riding
• Climbing wall
• Karate
• Tae Kwon-Do martial art

Students who play a musical instrument are able to have individual music lessons in Taunton School’s Music School. We also encourage students to play in the school orchestra, choir or jazz band, offering once again, another way to integrate within the senior school.
