TISC is a part of Taunton School
Taunton International Study Centre (TISC) is situated on the Taunton School Campus and is very much a part of the School, indeed TISC is recognised as one of the 6 houses in the Taunton School house system.
At TISC we encourage our students to integrate with the British students as much as possible. This is very important to help to prepare students academically, socially and pastorally for their next school.
At TISC we are small, friendly and supportive and we help students to settle in to life in a British boarding school. We are there to help students when they need it providing a secure and safe environment and an excellent stepping stone in to a mainstream school.
What is more, we want our students to be part of something bigger – a British boarding school. Our students eat their meals with the other students in Taunton School’s dining room and attend school Chapel with the British boarders. They also participate in the house singing, house drama, house basketball, house football and house chess competitions that are held within the school.
We encourage students to participate in events, activities, excursions, music and sports that happen in school, and we are always very proud when our students play for a school sports team, swim in the school team, sing in the school choir or play a musical instrument in the school orchestra.
Being part of Taunton School is important for the students at TISC as it is helping them to prepare for their next school as well as involving then in the wider school life during their time at Taunton School. |
